The new Member of Parliament for Avignon–La Mitis–Matane–Matapédia, Rémi Massé spent 16 years working as a federal public servant, as a manager and executive in various departments. During this time he spent time building strong relationships with provincial and federal representatives a skill he knows will help him as an MP.
Massé has Bachelor’s degree in French Studies and a graduate degree in Linguistics. He served for a time as executive director of Cégep de Matane. He is chair of the board of the Digital Imagery Research and Development Centre and is a member of the board of the Wind Energy Techno-Centre.
Massé’s focus is on forming positive working relationships between the government and the private sector to best help the region. Local issues are his top priority. He wants to attract jobs and investment to Avignon–La Mitis–Matane–Matapédia. He is also an advocate of affordable public housing.
Massé lives in Riviere-du-loup with his wife and their four sons.
