Randy Hoback was first elected to represent the riding of Prince Albert in 2008, and is currently serving his third consecutive term under the Conservative banner.
Hoback was the chair of the Standing Committee on International Trade, and has served on committees ranging from Finance to Natural Resources.
Hoback grew up on a family farm and says he always keeps the interests of farmers in mind, and whether he is advocating domestically or internationally.
Before being elected Hoback worked as President of Can Ag Ventures. He served as chair of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association and represented the organization at World Trade Organization talks in Geneva and Hong Kong.
Hoback was as a Special Advisor to the Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of Agriculture and Minister of the Canadian Wheat Board. In that role he advocated for the needs of his community and fellow farmers. He also served a the representative for the Rural Municipality for Canwood at the Agriculture Producers Association of Saskatchewan.
Hoback has a certificate in business administration from the University of Saskatchewan and a Chartered Director’s designation from the McMaster University Chartered Directors College. He started his career working for Flexicoil, a farm machinery manufacturer.
He is married and has two children.
