Pierre Breton is the newly elected Member of Parliament for Shefford. Before being elected Breton was working in human resources for the Société des alcools du Québec. He was also a councillor for the City of Granby for 10 years.
He previously worked with Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) and Viasystems Canada.
Breton is the chair of the board of the Corporation de développement commercial et touristique de Granby et Région and a member of the board of the Société zoologique de Granby. He was also a cofounder of the Granby Junior Chamber of Commerce, Génération Avenir, and has served on the board of the Eastern Townships airport board and on the École Ave Maria School Council.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Université de Québec à Montréal. He has been active in politics for a number of years, starting as a volunteer on campaigns for Jean Lapierre, the former Liberal MP for Shefford.
