Peter Fragiskatos

London North Centre

Before being elected to the House of Commons Peter Fragiskatos worked as a political scientist at King’s College.

He is regularly invited to comment by major publications like Maclean’s Magazine, the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star and BBC News.

Fragiskatos has a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Western Ontario, a Master’s degree in international relations from Queen’s University and a PhD in international relations from Cambridge University. His studies focused on world history and conflict.

Fragiskatos is very active in the London community, volunteering with non-profits such as the London Food Bank, the Cross Cultural Learner Centre and Literacy London. He has been a member of the board of directors of Anago Resources and the Heritage London Foundation.

He is very active in the city’s Greek community. His parents emigrated to Canada from Greece. He says he got interested in politics because of his grandmother, who worked as a union organizer and had a deep sense of social justice.
