Kelvin Goertzen is Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living for Manitoba, a position to which he was appointed following the 2016 election.
Goertzen was first elected for the riding of Steinach in 2003, and has served in the provincial legislature since.
Goertzen holds degrees in Economics, Commerce and Law, and previously worked for a major financial institution and property development company before entering politics.
He has previously served as Vice-President of the Steinbach Arts Council and the Steinbach Food Bank and serves as a member of the South East Rotary Club.
He has been recognized by the Lions Club of Manitoba with a H.O.P.E. Medal of Honour, and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Governor General of Canada.
