New Brunswick Southwest
Karen Ludwig is the newly elected MP for New Brunswick Southwest.
Before being elected to the House of Commons, Ludwig worked at several post-secondary institutions, mainly working in online education. She was the Director of Academic Affairs for Meritus University, an online university. She also worked at New Brunswick Community College where she designed online courses, taught courses in international business and supervised students while they completed study terms in Cuba.
She and her husband are also partners in a business together. They helped to open Sticks and Stones Fabricating in St. Stephen, NB in 2007. The company specializes in stone products for homes and commercial spaces.
Ludwig has a Master’s in Education and a PhD in Philosophy, both focusing on adult education from the University of New Brunswick. She also has a Master’s in Sociology from Guelph University. She also earned the designation of Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) from the Forum for International Trade Training. She is currently working on her PhD in Higher Education Administration through the University of Phoenix.
