Brian Masse is the NDP member of Parliament for Windsor West. He was first elected in 2002 and was the first member of the NDP to be elected from the Windsor West riding. He is currently serving as the critic’s for Innovation, Science, and Economic Development, and for the Great Lakes.
Previously Masse has served as critic for Small Business, for Tourism, for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, and for the Great Lakes and the Canada–US Border. He has also served 12 years as vice-chair of the Canada–US Inter-Parliamentary Group, co-chaired the All-Party Border Caucus, and chaired the NDP Auto Caucus.
Before entering politics Masse worked as a Youth Co-ordinator and Employment Specialist in Windsor.
Masse graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Masse and his wife Terry have two children.
