Bob Benzen

Bob Benzen was first elected in a 2017 by-election to fill the vacant seat of former Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who resigned his seat in 2016 after losing the federal election in 2015.

Before running for office, Benzen worked in the energy sector, specializing in data storage and information management for energy companies. He was an activist and donor with the Conservative Party, and spearheaded an advertising campaign to honour and thank Stephen Harper for his work.

Benzen lives in Evergreen, Calgary with his wife Sue. They have three grown children.
